Raising Concerns

Our aim is to work in partnership with parents and we take any concern seriously.

If you have a worry over an issue you consider to be important and require reassurance; you have a concern and should raise it with a member of staff.

You can arrange a meeting to discuss a concern during any school day

between 0830-1630:

* in person at reception;

* by telephone 02380261900;

* by email admonoffice@lnightwood.hants.sch.uk

* directly with the class teacher.

STEP 1

Always arrange to speak with your child’s classteacher first. A meeting to discuss your concern further may be necessary. Please avoid raising your concern with others until there has been reasonable time for any agreed actions to take effect.

STEP 2

If your concern is not resolved to your satisfaction, please arrange to speak to the class teacher again.

STEP 3

If your concern is still not resolved, arrange to speak to the Phase Leader who may convene a meeting with you alongside the class teacher. If your concern is around SEN, our Senco may also attend, but you may contact her separately on any issues related to SEN as they arise.

Phase leaders are Mrs Rowe EYFS/KS1 and Mrs Holmes KS2. Senco is Mrs Lawrence.

STEP 4

If your concern has still not been resolved then you can make an appointment to speak to Mrs Stubbington or Mrs Clark who may convene a meeting alongside others who may already have been involved in attempting to resolve your concern.

STEP 5

If after this, you still feel that your concern is unresolved, your concern may become a complaint. This is an expression of dissatisfaction about actions taken or lack of action. You may be referred to our complaints policy which is available on our website.

We expect parents to engage constructively with school staff and work together with them in the best interests of our children.
