Year 2
On Wednesday we went on a visit to the fantastic Sea City Museum to answer some of our questions about the Titanic.
We discovered that over 900 people from Southampton worked on the ship and found out where they lived on a huge floor map. We listened to some stories from the survivors and one of them was the same age as us. It was interesting to discover that there were animals on board the ship and there was even a ship’s cat called Jenny!
My favourite part was dressing up as some of the passengers on the ship and finding out what happened to them. We also got to investigate some objects that would have been on the Titanic. I liked the stone hot water bottle.
We had a brilliant day and got lots of answers to our questions – and thought of lots of new ones too.
