1:1 Learning Support Assistant/Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

 

This position is for a Fixed term contract until August 2020 with opportunity to apply for potential permanent role beyond.

The hours are  8.30am-3.00pm or Mornings or afternoons, five days a week Term Time

The Salary is depending on experience 

LSA EHCC Grade B/C (18,065 to 19,407 FTE) pro rata for the number of hours worked and term time

 LTSA EHCC Grade A (17,364 to 17,711 FTE) pro rata for the number of hours worked and term time     

 

 

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, caring Learning Support Assistants to work within our team under the guidance of the class teacher, SENCo and external agencies such as the behaviour support team and an educational psychologist.

The role is fixed term until August 2020, however there may be further opportunities to apply for a permanent position after that. The successful candidate will initially be providing one to one support to a lovely polite year 6 child with ADHD - social, emotional and mental health to access his programme learning every morning. We are especially looking for someone who has already had past experience of working with autistic children and in particular would be very interested to hear from LSAs with previous experience in a special school setting.

The role also includes becoming part of our lunchtime supervisory team, supporting children in the lunch hall and enabling positive playtimes.

This position is two fold and is both to provide learning support either on a 1:1 basis or within one of our classrooms (as directed) and also to support children’s welfare and needs during the lunchtime period.  The successful candidate will have had recent experience of working in a school setting or previous working experience as an LSA or teacher.

 

If selected for interview, part of the appointment process will be to plan and deliver a learning session for a small group of children.

Graduate Full Time Teaching Assistant 26 hours per week seeking a route into teaching (Schools Direct)

 

Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant 2.5 hours per week

Over 5 days per week - Term Time

Fixed term until August 31st 2020

Are you a graduate with a good degree who has already decided that you would like to become a qualified teacher in 2 years’ time (Sept 2021)?

Our “Outstanding” school (Ofsted 2015) has an excellent track record in successfully supporting graduates who are aspiring teachers. We offer a year with us as a full time  LSA (school hours only) and a year as a trainee teacher who is following a Schools Direct or SCITT route towards the award of  Qualified Teaching Status.

 

If you are interested in this role, you will need to have already decided to apply to join a SCITT or a School Direct teacher training programme for a September 2020 start.
