Knightwood Primary School Uniform
A school uniform creates a sense of belonging that gives our school a clear identity and feeling of community. We want our children to be proud of their school and foster in them a sense of order that is conducive to good attitudes and behaviour. School uniform promotes equality and ensures that children attend school on the same footing as equals with the belief that they can all achieve whatever their starting points.
With this in mind we are asking you to support us by ensuring that you child adheres strictly to our uniform as stated below.
Knightwood School Uniform
Long hair should be tied back or a hair band worn in a school colour and PLAIN (no novelty hairbands - unicorns etc)
No nail varnish or make-up may be worn
Please note that the school fleeces are outdoor wear. They are not suitable to be worn during lessons or around school except on arrival and departure times.
The Knightwood School Association (KSA) kindly provide book bags for all our new year R children when they start school. The bags this year will be labelled and ready for when your children start with us so please don't worry about purchasing one.
In Reception year, the children do not need trainers until the Summer Term. They do not need to bring a tracksuit to school for games as we will not be going outside for PE until the Summer Term.
NB: Please ensure all uniform has your child's name on, we do try to return 'lost' uniform but cannot do so if it is unnamed
No jewellery other than a stud or small sleeper earrings (under half-inch) may be worn in school at any time. Studs and sleepers must be taped over for any physical activity. (Please note that we ask you to provide the materials for doing this and the child must be able to do this for themselves)
Where and how can I buy uniform?
The main supplier of school uniform is Skoolkit in Eastleigh - please see below for information on how to order uniform and the price list which offers free delivery if you include the relevant code.
At Skoolkit we are hoping all our customers are well and keeping safe. We would like to reassure you that even though this year will be challenging we are still working behind the scenes doing our upmost to provide you with school uniform upon your return.
This year we would like to ask for your help
As much as possible Skoolkit would like to encourage parents to order uniform from our website for this year’s ‘Back to School’. We appreciate this is not always possible especially if you need help with sizes or have vouchers, but as I’m sure you will agree we need to try and limit the amount of people in our shops during the busy Summer months, this will help us observe all government safety guidelines which will be put in place when we get the go-ahead to re-open our shops.
Skoolkit would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support during these challenging times and we hope you all stay safe.
