Information from the School Nursing Team on how to get help if a child becomes unwell during the current Covid-19 Outbreak

Information for families who have children eligible for Free School Meals

If your child qualifies for free school meals, we are anxious to ensure that this service remains available to you during this period when our school remains closed to the majority of pupils.

In my letter dated 25th March 2020 I explained that free school meals could be ordered and collected from our school each day. Many of you have not taken up this offer for one reason or another.

We have decided to offer weekly food boxes via HC3S that can be ordered by midday every Friday for you to collect from the school “apron”between 11.00-12.00 the following Monday. These food boxes will provide enough food for you to prepare a nutritious lunch for your child(ren) at home during the remainder of the week. The food boxes will be available through the Easter holidays, including Good Friday and Easter Monday as well as during term time whilst the school remains closed.

If you would like to collect a food box on Monday, please contact the school office, preferably by email s.mussell@knightwood.hants.sch.uk  to let us know as soon as possible and by Friday at 12.00 so that there is enough time to order the food and prepare them.

Please note that, if your child has free school meals and is currently attending school because you are a critical worker, a free school meal will continue to be provided at school.
