Vacancy for a Crossing Patrol Person

The Hampshire County Council School Crossing Patrol Service currently has a large team of dedicated community-minded men and women carrying out the important role of ensuring the safety of children on their way to and from school.

There is currently a permanent vacancy on Knightwood Road near the junction with Bellflower Way in Chandlers Ford. We would be keen to hear from members of the local community who can demonstrate traffic awareness, a sense of responsibility and are keen to show dedication and commitment in carrying out this important role to make the roads of Hampshire safer for children.

Experience is not necessary as full training will be provided, more important are your personal qualities, reliability and commitment to provide a safe crossing environment for children travelling between home and school during term time.

  • A uniform is provided to protect you against the elements
