Graduate Teaching Assistant with Aspirations to Teach (Schools Direct)
Are you a graduate with a good degree who would eventually like to become a qualified teacher?
Our "Outstanding" school (Ofsted 2015) has close links with a local SCITT and has recent experience in successfully supporting aspiring teachers towards gaining qualified Teacher Status (QTS) through the School's Direct Initial Teacher Training Programme.
We are looking to appoint FOUR graduates as full time learning support assistants to join our team for one year starting from September 2018.
If you are interested in this role, you will need to want to apply to join the School Direct teacher training programme in time for a September 2019 start. If you are succesful, our school will be your host school for your year as a trainee teacher.
School Direct trainees spend the vast majority of their time in the classroom rather than rather via the traditional PGCE programme where the majority of time is spent in university.
You may be a 21 year old who is currently at university or equally you could be more mature and looking for a career change.
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated people who are committed to team work and can be adaptable enough to operate within the context of a large primary school.
We need someone who can build excellent relationships with our children and work effectively in collaboration with the class teacher and other members of the school staff for the benefit of our children.
If you are hardworking, reliable, organised and committed with enthusiasm and great communication skills, we would like to hear from you.
Visits to our school to meet the Headteacher are very welcomed and strongly recommended. Please call the school office after the 16th April on 023 8026 1900 to arrange an visit.
